The Pokémon franchise is getting a new film, Pokémon the movie: I choose you!, later this year. The official website for the movie streamed a trailer and a teaser video on Thursday, which revealed the first visuals of the upcoming movie. The film is set for a release on July 15, which is still around 5 months away. The film’s plot is pretty similar to the beginning of the original story of the series, and tells the story of how Ash (Satoshi) and Pikachu met for the first time.

At first, Pikachu is not interested in Ash’s friendship, but a series of events changes his feelings towards Ash. The two then see a Ho-oh, flying and make a vow to meet it someday.

Satoshi Tajiri is credited with the original work for the film, and the director for “Pokémon! Kimi ni Kimeta! is Kunihiko Yuyamais. Pokémon! Kimi ni Kimeta! is also the title of the first episode of the original anime, which started airing back in 1997.

The last film from the franchise, Pokemon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel, debuted in Japan on July 2016, and saw decent success. The English dub of the movie debuted in United States on Disney XD, on December 5.
